The Glock 19 is usually the go to gun for concealed carry. Compact, 15+1 rounds and a reliable shooter, what more can you ask for? That answer to that is better sights. It is safe to say Glock is not known for there OEM sights and usually for a self defense weapons you may not want to mod too many things, but the sights are usually a safe bet. With so many aftermarket glock sights on the available it can be difficult to find the best Glock sights for your needs, and thats where we come in. We will be taking a look at the best sights that will take your g19 to the next level.
For these sights I will let the specs do most of the talking. Equipped with CNC steel, duty proven, angled u-notch rear sight and dim/no light capabilities these sights are hard to beat. TFX Pro sights are great for just about any scenario you are found in from conceal carry to taking your g19 out on the range. The U-notch rear sight and the color contrast is known to help with target acquisition and follow up shots.
Offering a high quality product that has been battle tested by NTOA (National Tactical Officers Association) there is no secret why they are the most expensive on the list. Starting at $118 these sights are worth every penny.
The first thing to note about these sights is, they are are painted with Glow-in-the-dark photoluminescent to help them light up in low light situations. Even if you don't use these sights for home protection they still help tremendously outdoors in low light to moderate light. another notable feature of these sights is the painted rear outlines. This is a great addition to help quickly draw your eye to front post and with a wide “U” cut out on the rear it should be quick to align, for better target acquisition. the Trijicon night sights are an excellent option for swapping your OEM Glock sights. Trading out your polymer sights for these durable iron sights will have a longer life span and won't be affected in harsh conditions, or when being banged around.
I may be biased but i love Truglo sights, I never had any problems with them before and they are just simply great sights. They are made with CNC-machined steel and are very durable. The Sights are also snag resistant, so all the edges are rounded for a smooth draw. Imbedded with Tritium and fiber-optic they are extremely visibly in the dark and on the brightest day. Once the sun shines on these sights they glow and make it extremely easy to see in the bright sun. I have these on my gun and I absolutely love them. Best of all they are machined and assembled in the USA. One small thing I noticed was with the green fiber if you are surrounded by lush bright green landscape they can blend in a little bit.
Here we have the XS big dot, which is pretty self explanatory what it is known for. Target acquisition is the claim to fame for these sights, and it is true. The big dot makes it one of the easiest sights to align on your target that I have played with. Also with the low profile rear sight it makes it easy not to obstruct the front sight when on the move. This sight also comes equipped with tritium so it is visible in the dark which is mandatory in my eyes (pun intended). The Big Dot sights are made of Blued Steel so there are as well very durable. The only draw back I can see is when shooting longer distance at the range the big dot can cover up a large portion of the target. But in self defense situations you most likely won't have to engage a target from too far.
Last and priced least. Truglo Tritium Glow-in-the-Dark Night Sights are the best glock sights for the money. Starting at $66 these sights are made of CNC-machined steel with a fortress finish coating, which is a step up from the polymer OEM glock sights. Also designed to be snag resistant makes these sights a great option for cc use. A worthy note is these sights are brighter than the Trijicon night sights, just as durable and machined in the USA.
Glock has so many options for sights but choosing the best sights for your glock 19 can be a daunting task which is why we made this list. A few things to not when installing your glock sights: You will need lock tight and the glock front sight tool, which can be bought on amazon.
